Fedora 9: Adobe Flash Plugin Installation with Firefox 3.0

We all know that Fedora 9 ships with the latest Firefox 3 internet browser as the default internet browser. By default Firefox 3.0 rpm package, Adobe flash browser plugin is not installed by restrictions. Now, here's how to install Adobe Flash plugin into your Firefox 3.0 browser.

Fedora 9: Adobe Flash Browser Plugin Installation

Adobe flash plugin can easily be installed using yum by following the below steps:

1. Head on to Adobe site and download the rpm package for Fedora. As of this posting, the current adobe flash plugin rpm version is

flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386.rpm .

2. After successful download, simply install Adobe flash plugin package via rpm package installer like so

# rpm -ivh flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386.rpm

3. Restart your firefox and enjoy surfing flash-enabled websites.
