Fedora 9: Real Player 11 Installation

If you are a fanatic fan for Real Player multimedia player, here's a quick post on how to install the latest Real Player on Fedora 9.

Real player keeps on improving its major features and interface -it is evolving. Real player gets better and better on every released version. Currently on release version 11, Read player had unleashed version 11 for Linux platforms. Here are a few feature improvements from the Real Player version 11.

Fedora 9: Real Player 11 Installation

Now, to install Real Player 11, download the latest executable binary from Real Player site

# wget -c http://www.real.com/realcom/R?href=http://forms.real.com/real/player/download.html?f=unix/RealPlayer11GOLD.bin

Make the binary executable


# chmod 700 RealPlayer11GOLD.bin


# ./RealPlayer11GOLD.bin

The above lines will prompt for a few questions, simply press Enter for to proceed with default values.

Execute Real Player
Launch Real Player 11 for Linux like so

# realplay
