Chikka messenger owned by Chikka company, has been known to establish SMS communication between your recognized mobile phones and your online PC using their own Chikka messenger. The Chikka messenger can be executed as a 32-bit PC application or as a javalite web-based application before sending any SMS message going into your cell phones/mobile or your Chikka messenger.

Now, here's a quick dirty tip on how to setup Kopete messenger and send free SMS message to Chikka networks using your GMail account.


LINUX REQUIREMENTS:

1. GMail account details
2. Kopete messenger software
3. Internet connection


4 SIMPLE AND EASY STEPS

1. Make sure you already have your Kopete running from your PC. If not, download the latest Kopete or follow the installation steps from here.
Also, make sure you already have your GMail account,if not you need to get one here.

2. Launch your Kopete messenger. From Kopete, create a New Account as shown below





3. After adding your GMail account. Proceed to add your Chikka contacts by entering their Chikka ID.

Chikka ID follow the below formats:
-----------------------------------
a. countrycode + mobile-number@chikkatalk.com (without space)
b. user@domain.com (registered email address from chikka)




From the destination mobile, the SMS message would arrive with the following message formats:

From: youremail@gmail.com
Msg: your message

You would notice that the message is carrying a FROM reply number of 277XXXX.

In Philippines, replying from the sent message would charge the mobile owner of a hefty cheap P2.50 peso (based from SMART mobile).
