IBM Developerworks: "So, why would it be a good idea to subsume two Linux servers into two VMs? Well, for one thing, the power requirement is immediately halved, as is the need for networking between the two computers. In fact, the saving may be even greater if the new host server is used for other duties. But the conservative estimate is that the saving is 50 percent. Is there a downside?"
